Our Story
How it started. Why we're still here.
Meet Alex
Alex Cade opened Copper Pig Cuts in 2022 with a simple idea: build a salon where people feel at home. No pretension. No attitude. Just great hair in a space that feels right.
The salon sits on Genesee Street in Greene, inside a building with exposed brick walls and warm light. It looks the way a salon should look — clean, inviting, and lived in.
Since opening day, Alex has built a team of three. Each stylist brings something different to the chair, but they all share the same standard: listen first, then cut. No shortcuts.
Copper Pig Cuts is independently owned. It's not a franchise or a chain. It's a neighborhood salon where you can call your stylist directly and leave feeling good about your hair.
How We Got Here
Doors Open
Alex signed the lease on 35 Genesee Street. One chair, a vision, and a name nobody would forget. Copper Pig Cuts was born.
The Team Grows
Word got around. Jen and Ashlee joined the crew. Three chairs, three stylists, and a schedule that stays full.
Finding Our Groove
Balayage, color work, and blonde specialty became the calling cards. Clients started driving in from outside Greene.
Still Growing
Four years in. Same owner, same heart, better every day. The chairs are warm and the calendar is open. Call to book.
How We Work
Every Visit, Every Time
No off days, no half-effort. You get the same quality whether it's Tuesday morning or Saturday afternoon.
We Take Our Time
Your appointment isn't rushed. Color needs time to process. Cuts need attention. We give both.
Your Hair, Your Call
We'll share honest advice about what works. But the final decision is always yours.
