Meet Alex — The One Who Started It
In 2022, Alex opened Copper Pig Cuts on Genesee Street in Greene. The idea was simple: create a space that's creative, welcoming, and unapologetically different. Not a cookie-cutter chain. Not someone else's vision. Hers.
She wanted a salon that reflected personality and skill, not corporate vibes. A place where clients could walk in, feel at home, and walk out looking amazing. Every detail — from the name to the atmosphere — was built with that in mind.
Why "Copper Pig Cuts"? Because it's memorable and different — just like the salon. Alex didn't want a forgettable name, and she didn't build a forgettable shop. Today the team has grown to three stylists, but the energy is the same as day one: bold, independent, and all about the craft.

Alex signs the lease on Genesee St. Copper Pig Cuts is born — a bold, independent salon with one chair and a whole lot of vision.
The Team Grows
Jen and Ashlee join the crew. Three chairs, three styles, one crew. The salon goes from a solo act to a full-service team.
